William D. Maragliano Sr.

Basom - William D. Maragliano, Sr. affectionately known as "Bill", passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026 at home.

He was born on January 24, 1965 in Buffalo, son of Carol D. Fischer Maragliano of Batavia and the late David Maragliano.

Bill worked for 35 years at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in Rochester before retiring. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed the excitement of playing his scratch-off lottery tickets, never leaving one unscratched.

Surviving with his mother, are his wife of 38 years, Donna J. Maragliano; his daughter, Sara Maragliano of Batavia; his sister, Laura Maragliano of Batavia and nieces and nephews.

Along with his late father, Bill is predeceased by his beloved son, William D. Maragliano, Jr. who passed away on July 24, 2011; paternal grandparents, William and Viola Skelley; maternal grandparents, Albert and Florence Fischer and Donna's parents, Donald and Joan Bowlen.

Friends may call on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield, where memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11 am.
