Will Hampton

Batavia - Will Hampton, age 62, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at United Memorial Medical Center.

He was born on November 23, 1963 in Rochester, a son of the late Will and Margaret Colburn Hampton.

Will worked in housekeeping and at the café at Richmond Memorial Library through ARC GLOW. He took great pride in his work. Will loved all sports, with wrestling holding a special place in his heart. He also enjoyed dancing and singing, bringing his enthusiasm and joy to those around him. One of his greatest joys was traveling extensively with People and Places, creating many wonderful memories along the way.

He is survived by his sister, Gail Benoit of Florida; sister-in-law, Nora Hampton of Spencerport and five nephews; Mike, Rob, Donny and Douglas Hampton and K.C. Benoit.

He is predeceased by his brother, Gary Hampton.

Special thanks to the caring workers at United Memorial Medical Center during his final weeks. An immense amount of gratitude goes to the staff at the Bank Street Group Home for their care for Will over the years.
