Alexander - Thomas R. Schmieder, Sr., 67 of Alexander passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2025 at his home.

Thomas was born September 28, 1957 in Batavia, a son of Janet (Cortwright) Schmieder of Attica and the late George Schmieder, Jr.

Surviving are his son, Thomas Schmieder, Jr; siblings, Karen (Pat Vides) Schmieder, Marian Smith, Lori Modafferi, Daniel Schmieder, and Gary (Molly) Schmieder. Grandchildren also survive.

In death, Thomas is reunited with his father and brother, George Schiemder, III.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday (June 12, 2026) at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Exchange Street in Attica. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
