Batavia - Stanley R. May, III, 83 of Batavia passed away on Friday, (October 3, 2025) at Crossroads House.
Mr. May was born April 27, 1942 in Rochester, a son of the late Stanley May, II and Alfreda (Rutkowski) May.
Stan was a well known car salesman for many years in Batavia and later owned his own dealership, PamStan Motors, in Lime Rock. He had a strong and unique sense of humor and enjoyed telling a joke to anyone he met - including unsuspecting strangers. He was patient, laid-back, and even tempered; unless someone screwed up the cheese. Most of all, Stan was a very caring and loving person who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife Pamela (Levin) Brodsky of Batavia; children, Michelle (Donald) Conrad of North Java, Joseph May of Warsaw, Eric Brodsky of Spencerport, and Jeff Brodsky of Pavilion; grandchildren, Douglas (Elizabeth) Johns, Michael Conrad, Jacob (Caitlin) Conrad, Alyssa Conrad, Joseph Pratt, Kim Brodsky, Kate (Tony) Muntz; great-grandchildren, Dexter, Christopher, Skyler, Chevy, Caylee, and Tanner. Nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Stan in Western New York National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Road in Pembroke on Thursday (October 16, 2025) at 1:00 p.m. (please arrive by 12:45 p.m. and follow the signs for funerals). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads House, PO Box 403, Batavia, New York 14021.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street in Batavia. Please leave a condolence, share a story, or light a candle at www.bataviafuneralhomes.com.
