Shelly Amico

Shelly Amico, 70, of LeRoy, passed away on October 28, 2026, at LeRoy Village Green Residential Health Care Facility, LeRoy, NY.

Shelly was born on March 30, 1956, in Williamsport, PA, A daughter of the Late Max C. Wood Sr. and Shirley (Pequignot) Clark.

After graduating from high school, Shelly dedicated many years of her life to custodial care at Hilltop Industries in Mt. Morris, where she took pride in her work.

She had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially her cat, Madison and her bird, Tweety. Her love for them was a reflection of her kind and compassionate spirit. Shelly enjoyed watching a good superhero movie, listening to music, going to church with her family and expressing her creativity through arts and crafts. She also found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was enjoying a delicious unsweetened tea from McDonald's or simply being surrounded by the people she loved most. Above all, Shelly treasured her family, and the time spent with them was what brought her the greatest joy.

She is survived by her mother, Shirley J. Clark; siblings, Jacquelyn (Stephen Mitchel ) Friday, Max C. Wood Jr., and Carrie (Gerald) Clark Moore; nieces and nephews, Jaime Friday, Cassie Friday, Collin Wood, Kyle Wood, David (Devon) Wolcott, Jonathan Wolcott, Nichole Moore, and Jazmine Moore; her great niece, great nephews, and friends.

In death Shelly is reunited with her father, Max C. Wood Sr., Stepfather, Willis Clark, and nephew Jacob Wolcott.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. E. Turner & Co., Inc. Funeral Home, 403 E. Main Street, Batavia. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends
