Ruth Elinor Wolf
Ruth Elinor Wolf, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7th, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on Tuesday, February 11th, 1936, in North Collins.
A graduate of Springville Griffith Institute and Bryant & Stratton Business School, she dedicated many years of her life to the Collins Center School in Collins Center, where she served as an assistant librarian and a teacher's aide.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John L. "Jack" Wolf; her parents, Lester "Bud" Dash and Maude Glass Dash; and her brother, Gary Dash.
She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Madeya) Wolf of Akron, Patrick Wolf of Rochester, and Jacqueline Wolf of Bergen. Ruth was a cherished grandmother to Tina Wolf of Port Jefferson Station, Long Island, and Mark Lancaster of Chili. She is also survived by her dear sister, Joan Tessmer of Collins; brother-in-law, Bruce Wolf of Troutman, NC; and many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Collins Center Cemetery, Main Street, Collins. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ruth's memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 1344 University Avenue, Suite 270, Rochester, NY 14607.
