Rose Marie Hutchinson

Rose Marie Hutchinson, 77, of Batavia, NY, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at her home in Batavia.

She was born on February 10, 1948, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Carrican) Nuciola.

Rose was the beloved matriarch of her family, whose kitchen was the heart of every holiday gathering. She lovingly prepared meals for each celebration, from Italian sausages and meatballs with her homemade sauce to traditional corned beef and cabbage. Rose found her greatest joy in caring for her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. An avid reader and passionate cook, she expressed her love through food, tradition, and time spent together. Her warmth, generosity, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Rose is survived by her children, Scott (Jamie) Hutchinson, Anthony (Anne) Hutchinson, Christopher (Shauna) Hutchinson, and Lynette Hutchinson; grandchildren, Desiree Hutchinson, Shayne Moak, Christian Hutchinson, Isabella Hutchinson, Madison Hutchinson, Chase Brown, and Dakota Brown; sister, Clara Nuciola, and many nieces and nephews.

In death, Rose is reunited with her husband, Richard Hutchinson Sr.; son, Richard Hutchinson Jr.; Parents, Joseph and Rose Nuciola; siblings, Concetta Welton, Geneva Nuciola, Mary Anne Vohs, Samuel Nuciola, Joseph Nuciola, Carmen Nuciola, and Frank Nuciola.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at H.E. Turner & Co., Inc. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, with a funeral service to follow. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Pleasant View Cemetery, York.
