Roberta A. Stephens, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on December 2, 2025 at the age of 87. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Roberta lived a life filled with love, creativity, and dedication to her family and community.

Roberta married Harry I. Sollie and had three children, Tamre, Keith and Erika.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Keith Sollie. Her remaining family includes her daughters, Tamre (Matthew) Noblet and Erika Sollie, her three grandchildren, Virginia Noblet, Victoria Kemblowski, and Allison (Reid) Rubio. Roberta is also survived by her siblings, John (Barb) Bartlett, Joan (Terence) Howson, and Raymond (Marylen) Bartlett, as well as many nephews and a niece.

Roberta, also known as Bert or Bobbi to her friends and family, graduated from SUNY Brockport with her Bachelors Degree and went on to a career at Genesee County Department of Social Services in Batavia, NY where she retired. As a supervisor in services, she made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community, and made lifelong friends. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond her professional life where she participated in numerous fundraisers and community events.

A talented crafter, she found joy in sewing, knitting, and cross-stitching, often gifting her beautiful handmade creations to family and friends. She had a love for music and dancing and she was known for her generous spirit and warm heart.

A memorial service to celebrate Roberta's life will be held at Oakfield United Methodist Church, 2 South Main Street, Oakfield, on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11:00 am. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Cary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Roberta's memory to the American Cancer Society.
