Rita P. McLean, 70, of Rochester, passed away on April 17, 2024 at Premier Genesee Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Batavia.

Rita was born October 25, 1953 in Henrietta, a daughter of the late Walton and Rita (Trim) Groell.

Rita enjoyed woodworking, helping others and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Robin (Raymond Nichols) McLean of Scottsville, Richard Walton (Grace) Kellerman-McLean of Rochester and Robert McLean of Rochester; brothers, Michael Groell of Henrietta, Frank Groell of Henrietta and Walton Groell of Florida; a sister, Christine (Dominic) Quartieri of Webster; 11 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Richard Melvin McLean and brother, Robert Groell.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 8, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street in Batavia, where Rita's Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. also Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Western New York Chapter, www.alz.org/wny.
