Philip A. Naas passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at his home while under the care of HomeCare & Hospice surrounded by his family following a short battle with Gioblastoma.
He was born on June 24, 1943 in Batavia, son of the late Wendell and Dorothy Patterson Naas.
He is survived by his wife of 62 Years, Judy Naas, son Bruce (Jessica) Naas; daughter Cindy Naas, brother Danny Naas; grandchildren Noel (Matthew) Kielar, Brett Naas, Erin (Dan) Farnham, Chelsea (Hunain) Sattar, Connor Wurth and Max Wurth. Great Grandchildren Zeus, Zoey, Genevieve, Brooke, Carson, Sadie, Sofia, Parker, Addison, Peighton, Kaseem and Liyana.
He is predeceased by his brother Kermit Naas.
He worked for Lester Johns in Oakfield and later retired from Cold Spring Construction company in Akron, NY after a lifelong career as a heavy equipment operator to work on the family farm. He loved spending time with his family, working on the farm and was an avid collector of farm and construction toys.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to his private caregiver, Trish Coffta, Dr. Joshua Jones, Dr. Gregory Connolly; the staff at the Lipson Cancer Center of Batavia; and HomeCare & Hospice for the excellent care and support given to Phil and his family
In lieu of calling hours, a celebration of life will be held at the Caryville Inn, 25 Main Street Oakfield, on Sunday July 5 from 1 pm to 4 pm. The family would love for you to stop by and share your memories.
