Penny McDaniel, age 78, of Oakfield, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia.
Penny was born on September 29, 1947, a daughter of the late William and Anabelle (Selfrig) Smith.
She was a loving mother who cherished her family. Penny enjoyed crocheting, making earrings, crafts, and playing bingo.
Penny is survived by her children, Larry Mitchell and Tina Mitchell; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald McDaniel; daughter, Barbara Horn; parents, William and Anabelle Smith; and her 11 siblings.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. There are no calling hours. There will be a private Celebration of Life at the family's convenience.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Penny’s memory to: The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
