Paul H. Eaton Jr.

Paul H. Eaton Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Born in Cortland on August 7, 1963, Paul lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.

Paul is survived by his devoted wife, Linda J. Ezard Eaton of Elba, who was his partner in life and travel. Together, they embarked on many adventures, including several memorable cruises. He leaves behind his cherished children, Jennifer (Brian) Zicaro of Syracuse, Justin (Sarah) Eaton of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and Jamie (Patrick) Eaton of Pavilion. Paul was a proud grandfather to Bryce and Brayden Zicaro, Jonathan Williams, Audriana Eaton, Alexzander Eaton, and Patrick Tuttle, Jr., who brought immense joy to his life.

He is also survived by his father, Paul H. (Patricia) Eaton, Sr. of Esperance, and his brothers-in-law, Edward J. Ezard, Jr. and Ronald (Lara) Ezard, both of Byron. Paul will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Ben Ezard of Buffalo, Heather (Matt) Esten of Elba, Elizabeth (Caleb) Ezard of LeRoy, and Bethany Ezard of Syracuse, as well as his great-niece, Ava, and great-nephew, Avery.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Goodman Eaton, his sister-in-law, Amy Ezard, and his father and mother-in-law, Edward J. Ezard, Sr. and Jane E. Ezard.

A dedicated truck driver for Tompkins Metal Finishing in Batavia, Paul was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to bring smiles to those around him with his 'gift of gab.' He was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, camping, and playing golf. Above all, Paul treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Elba Fire Department Recreation Hall, 7143 Oak Orchard Road, Elba, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family, who will distribute them to various charities.
