Nicholas J. Galvani

Basom - Nicholas J. Galvani, 77 of Basom, passed away Thursday (May 14, 2026) at his home under the care of HomeCare & Hospice and his loving family.

Nicholas was born April 14, 1949 in Suffern, New York, a son of the late Teno and Josephine (Simpson) Galvani.

Nick loved to spend time with family and friends. He loved to go hunting and fishing. He enjoyed camping with friends and family as well as boating. Later in life he started to go riding with friends in side by side's (four wheelers) and absolutely loved every minute of it. He was always outdoors doing what he loved until he could no more. Nick was a jokester right till the very end,he was always making people laugh with the jokes and stories he used to tell. He will be missed dearly but the memories his family and friends have will always keep him alive in spirit.

Surviving are his wife, Linda (Kimbark) Galvani of Basom; son, Michael (Carmela) Galvani of Hawthorne, New Jersey; daughter, Kristina (Michael) Smith of Basom; grandchildren, Stephanie Ponte, Daniela (Henry) Dukes, Gabriella (Anthony) Cupo, Arianna Wolf, Hailey and Landon Smith; great-grandchildren, Anya, Henry, Jr., Camilla, and one on the way.

Honoring Nicholas' wishes, there will be no visitation. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
