Hamlin - Michael C. Brungard, 81 of Hamlin, passed away on Sunday (June 21, 2026) at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia.

Mr. Brungard was born June 11, 1945 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Clair and Josephine (Strickler) Brungard.

He was a member of the Hamlin New Testament Church. Michael served his country honorably with the United States Army and was a well-known automotive sales manager in Brockport and Batavia for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Irma R. (Hoffman) Brungard of Hamlin; children, Evert C. (Stephanie) Brungard of Brockport, and Erik (Jill) Brungard of Clarence Center; grandchildren, Ethan and Christopher Brungard.

Along with his parents, Michael is reunited in death with his brother, Joseph Brungard.

There will be no visitation. Michael will be laid to rest in Bath National Cemetery in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hamlin New Testament Church, 2179 Lake Road North, Hamlin, New York 14464.
