Batavia - Mary A. Tiede, 72, of Batavia, passed away on Thursday (August 13, 2015) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.
Mary was born August 14, 1942 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Gillam) Hulburt.
A very caring person, Mary was always willing to take care of everyone else. Mary enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds and attending her grandkids sporting events. She was a former clerk with the Town of Batavia.
Survivors include a son, Craig (Maureen) Tiede of Corfu; a daughter, Tracy (Brandon) Hastings of Alexander; her grandchildren, Michelle (Ryan) Kopper, Joshua Tiede, Jacob Bykowski, Madison Bykowski and Cassidy Hastings; two brothers, Frank Hulburt of Conesus Lake and Jack Hulburt of Churchville; two sisters, Joan (late Richard) Hale of Batavia and Jane (late Matthew) Hamera of North Chili; a brother-in-law, Roger (Dennis Alaimo) Tiede of Connecticut and several nieces and nephews.
Mary is predeceased by her husband, Raymond C. Tiede.
Mary's family would like to extend a special thank you to Mary's dear friends, Greg and Elsie Lee for the support and care they showed their mother.
Calling hours are Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
