Mary U. Sickmond

Bergen - Mary U. Sickmond, 87 of Bergen passed away on Monday, (May 22, 2023) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. Mrs. Sickmond was born November 26, 1935 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine (Buehler) Unger. She was a long-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #575. Mary loved to travel and collect cardinals. Surviving are her daughters, Debra (Joseph) DelleFave, Barbara Smith; grandchildren, Shannon (Richard) Burch, Shawna (Geoffrey) Tuttle, Anthony (Lisette) DelleFave, Danielle DelleFave; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Pieper Burch, Abigail and Madison Tuttle, Bianca (Celeste) Erenstone, Ashley and Anthony DelleFave; great-great grandchildren, Olivia DelleFave, Elaina Fagner, Kamilla Erenstone, Annalee DelleFave-Jones, Matthew Granath. In death, Mary is reunited with her parents; husband, Charles Sickmond; brothers, sisters, and her son-in-law, Timothy Smith. A private graveside service will be held in North Byron Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads House, PO Box 403, Batavia, New York 14021.
