Mark S. Showler, a beloved resident of Byron, passed away peacefully at the age of 64. Born in Rochester on Tuesday, June 20th, 1961, Mark was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Mark had a profound love for Harley Davidson motorcycles and spent countless hours riding his own bike, feeling the freedom of the open road. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of nature whenever he was able. Mark also had a passion for collecting American Eagle memorabilia, a testament to his appreciation for the symbol of freedom and strength.
A man of deep faith, Mark loved his Lord and lived his life with a huge, giving, and caring heart. He was a friend to everyone he met and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His warmth and kindness were felt by many, and he was truly loved by all who came in contact with him.
Mark is survived by his mother Antoinette Steffenilla Showler (Linton); brothers, Adam J. Showler of Batavia and John (Donna) Showler of Rochester, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore M. Showler.
Graveside services will be held at Byron Cemetery, Route 262 at 12 pm on Saturday, December 20th, 2025. Following graveside services, a Celebration of Life will be held in Mark's honor at the Byron Fire Hall, 6357 Townline Road, Byron, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Family, friends, and all whose lives Mark touched are invited to join in remembering and celebrating his life.
