Marian T. Partridge, age 96, of Bergen, passed away peacefully at home on June 17, 2005.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Partridge; her sister and brother-in-law, Helen (Lewis) Partridge and her sister-in-law, Joyce Glazier.
She is survived by her children, Bruce (Sandra) Partridge of Bergen and Jan (Richard Godlove) Kent of Byron; grandchildren, Joshua (Heather) Kent of Byron, Amber (Jason) Tomlin of Weatherford, Texas, Michael (Chantel) Partridge of Irondequoit and Seth (Lauren) Kent of Stafford; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Richard Glazier of Byron, many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Marian was born July 26, 1928 in Batavia to Charles and Florence Leanen Thornell. She was a graduate of South Byron High School (1946) and a college graduate of Buffalo State College (1951). She retired from teaching home economics at Byron Bergen Central School in 1983.
She was active in many organizations including: Bergen United Methodist Church, NYS and Genesee County Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, Phi Upsilon Omicron, Women Educators Service Organization, Republican Committee of Bergen, Bergen Business & Civic Association, Bergen Village Planning Board, Genesee County Fair Judge and Bergen Triangle Club.
Friends may call on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Bergen Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 38 South Lake Avenue, Bergen. Her funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 1 pm at church. She will be laid to rest in Mount Rest Cemetery, Bergen. Memorials may be made to Bergen United Methodist Church, P.O.
