It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Jean Coleman. Born on May 18th, 1948, in Oswego, Linda peacefully departed this life on January 28th, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Linda dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her professional and personal life. She was a devoted House Manager at Lifetime Assistance in Brockport, where her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her work, as she was a passionate advocate for rescued animals and a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and was a faithful member of the Brockport First Baptist Church.
Linda is survived by her nieces: Sandy (Colby) Owen, Carrie (Brian) Fair, Amy (Michael) Koziej, and Sherry (Jim) Starowitz, as well as 14 cherished great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves behind her treasured dog, Riona, her cousin Bruce, and many extended family members and friends in Rochester and Oswego. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harold F. Coleman and Lois Jean Harris Coleman, and her brother, Don Coleman.
A funeral service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at Brockport First Baptist Church, located at 124 South Main, Brockport, NY, on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, at 3 pm. She will be laid to rest at White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Linda's memory to Brockport First Baptist Church or to your local animal shelter.
