Julie H. Luxon

Julie H. Luxon, of Bergen, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on July 9, 1945, in Medina, Julie lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to others.

Julie is survived by her children: Daryl (Valerie) Chesley, Colleen (Greg) Lipski, Craig (Danielle) Chesley, and Allen Chesley. She was a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Julie was one of eleven siblings, a testament to the strong family bonds that were central to her life.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jane Luxon, and her beloved daughter, Donna Chesley.

A dedicated teacher, Julie spent many years shaping young minds. Her passion for education was matched by her love of travel and her remarkable talent for quilting and embroidery. Julie's beautifully designed quilts are a testament to her creativity and meticulous craftsmanship. In addition to her career in education, Julie served her country as a proud member of the United States Air Force.

Friends and family are invited to honor Julie's life at a funeral service on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Alabama & Basom United Methodist Church, 1392 Church Street, Alabama, NY. A graveside service will be held at the Western New York National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Road Corfu, on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Those attending are asked to assemble at the administration building by 12:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Julie's memory to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
