Joyce Marie (Kryman) Hagen

Batavia - Joyce Marie Kryman Hagen, age 88, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

She was born on May 10, 1937, in Batavia, daughter of the late Albert L. and Orial Bluman Kryman.

A 1955 graduate of Alexander Central School, she retired after 37 years from Agway, Inc. in 1992. A member of Batavia First United Methodist Church, she was a former Sunday School Teacher and a member of United Women of Faith through the church. Joyce loved reading, word puzzles and auto racing, She enjoyed watching baseball, following the New York Yankees and football, where she rooted for the Buffalo Bills.

She married Leon W. Hagen on May 2, 1959 and they celebrated 53 years of marriage until his passing on September 22, 2012.

She is survived by her sister, Judy (late Thomas) Shedlock of Batavia; her sister-in-law, Joan Kryman of Batavia, several nieces and nephews including Doug (Linda) Hagen, Daniel (Ann) Hagen, Dale (Maggie) Hagen and Jane (James Elmore) Chaddock, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She is predeceased by her brother, James Edward Kryman.

There are no prior calling hours. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10 am at Batavia First United Methodist Church, 8221 Lewiston Road, Batavia. She will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Batavia First United Methodist Church, 8221 Lewiston Road, Batavia.
