Pavilion - Joseph A. Martinez, 23 of Pavilion passed away on Sunday (June 14, 2026) in Stafford as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Joseph was born January 18, 2003 in Batavia, a son of Jose (Kristin) Martinez, Jr. of Englewood, Florida and Michelle (Timothy) Crawford of Batavia.
Joseph was a handsome young man with a kind heart, a beautiful soul, and a bright smile that could light up any room. He loved his family and friends deeply, cherished his dogs and all animals, enjoyed country life, video games, and had a passion for creating and sharing music. Joseph had a way of making everyone feel welcome, and he was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Taken from us far too soon, he leaves behind a hole in our hearts that can never be filled and countless dreams and opportunities that should have been his to pursue. He will be deeply missed every day, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will never be forgotten.
Along with his parents, Joseph is survived by his siblings, Jose Martinez III, of Venice, Florida, Marissa Dispenza of Quincy, Massachusetts and Amber Perhson of Rochester; step-siblings, Tristen, Brandon, Jayden, MaKenna, and Colson Crawford all of Batavia, Andrew Marra of Clarence, and Nicholas Marra of Florida; maternal grandmother, Josephine Penkszyk-Taylor of Batavia. Joseph is also survived by his beloved dogs, Greggy and Bruce.
Joseph is reunited in death with his paternal grandparents, Jose Sr. and Elizabeth Martinez; and maternal grandfather, Robert Talbot.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday (June 19, 2026) from 4 to 8:00 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street in Batavia; and thereafter on Saturday (June 20, 2026) from 10 to 12:00 noon at Batavia Assembly of God Church, 24 North Spruce Street in Batavia, where Joseph's funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon. Burial is in Wyoming Cemetery in Wyoming and is open to all who would like to attend.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to Against All Oddz Animal Alliance, 2166 Church Road, Darien Center, New York 14040.
