John Michael Kresock, 82 of Elba, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at The Highlands Living Center, Pittsford, NY.
Born on August 13, 1943 in Carbondale, PA, John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who enjoyed spending time with his family.
John served in the United States Army Reserve from 1965 to 1968. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton, and after graduation he worked as an Electrical Engineer.
During his career, John designed consumer electronics products for several companies that were once household names, including RCA, Magnavox, Sylvania and Eastman Kodak Company. John held several patents and designed electronic components for many products, including radios, televisions, cameras, printers, and even an early video game system. Prior to his retirement from Eastman Kodak, John worked on satellite imaging and commercial printing systems.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Wanda Jean (Lee) Kresock, and parents, John W. and Elizabeth (Timko) Kresock.
He is survived by his sons David (Nicole) Kresock and Timothy Kresock; grandchildren, Maxwell Kresock and Connor Kresock; siblings, Ronald (Rosemary) Kresock and Richard (Patricia) Kresock; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia, NY on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 190 Oak Street, Batavia, NY on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 9:00 am. Burial to follow at Grand View Cemetery, Batavia, NY.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 190 Oak St., Batavia, NY 14020.
