Jerald E. "Judge" Martin Jr., a lifelong resident of Batavia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 52. Born in Batavia on November 4, 1972, Jerry was a cherished son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Jerry was a 1991 graduate of Batavia High School and continued his education at Genesee Community College. He was a longtime employee of Spectrum in Batavia, serving as a construction coordinator. Jerry was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers, never missing a chance to cheer on his favorite teams. He also enjoyed playing golf and volleyball, passions he shared with friends and family alike.
He is survived by his beloved children, Colton (Ally Aquino) Martin and Macey (Noah Delcamp) Martin, both of Batavia. He was a proud grandfather to his grandson, Myles Aquino-Martin. He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Melinda Bryan, Lisa Martin, and Diane Gerace, all of Batavia, as well as his father, Jerald E. Martin Sr., also of Batavia. Numerous nieces and nephews mourn his passing and cherish his memory.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Humel Martin.
Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. His funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to them to assist during this difficult time.
