Jeanette Moss

Jeanette (Jan) Moss, 73, of Batavia, NY, passed away on May 20, 2026, at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY.

Jeanette was born on February 6, 1953, in Rochester, NY, to the late Edwin and Lucille (Folts) Beach.

Jan loved animals and found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking hearty meals for those she loved, often with the help of her favorite slow cooker. She will be remembered for her open heart, generous spirit, strong will, and independence. In her spare time, Jan enjoyed eating at Tully's, playing computer games, trying her luck with scratch-offs, shopping through Instacart, and visiting The Salvation Army.

She is survived by her children, Amber Curry, Shannon Morgan, Samantha Griggs, Melissa Meritt, Amanda Murphy, and Wendy Northrop; her best friend, William (Bill) Northrop; her siblings, Robert Beach, Mark Beach, and Michael Beach; as well as many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jeanette was predeceased by her son, John (Robbie) Robert Sherman, and her beloved dogs, Lollipop and Paco.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.E. Turner & Co., Inc. Funeral Home. There will be no services at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an animal rescue or charity of the donor's choice in Jeanette's memory.
