James Southall

James Southall, 85 of Godfrey's Pond in Bergen, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Le Roy Village Green Residential Health Care Facility.

He was born on January 10, 1941, in Corfu, NY.

He faithfully served his country as a Sergeant in the Air Force during Vietnam.

He was a true conservationist who found his greatest peace in the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and archery, embracing both the challenge and serenity of nature. Skilled in raising ornamental pheasants, waterfowl and trout, he had a deep respect for wildlife and the land. A natural builder and engineer, he took pride in working with his hands, always creating, fixing, and improving.

He is survived by his son, Jeff Southall; daughter-in-law, Laura Corbett; grandchildren, Harrison Southall, Dominic Southall, and Sydney Corbett; and friend, Anne Spadea .

Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.E. Turner & Co., Inc., Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
