It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James A. Connolly, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, on Thursday, December 4th, 2025. James was born on Wednesday, June 7th, 1972, and spent his life devoted to his family and passions in Batavia, NY.
James graduated as part of the illustrious 100th class of LeRoy High School, setting the foundation for a varied and industrious career. Throughout his professional life, he applied his talents and dedication at several local businesses, including Lapp Insulators, Whiting Door, Auto Core, Angelica's, and most recently, Uber. James's colleagues and clients appreciated his hard work and friendly demeanor.
A man of rich hobbies and pursuits, James was passionate about working on cars and was an avid sports fan. He cherished his vast collection of hockey cards and relished the great outdoors, spending countless cherished moments camping, fishing, and swimming with family and friends.
James was a man who valued relationships above all. He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Connolly, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. James was a proud and supportive father to his three children, Justin Connolly, Kevin Connolly, and Angelina Mix, and a doting grandfather to Carter Tharp, Connor McCoy, Noah McCoy, and Paisley Mix. He is also survived by his devoted mother, Mary Connolly; his beloved sister, Sandy Connolly; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. James is preceded in death by his father, Alan Connolly.
The impact of James's life will be celebrated at a "Celebration of Life" service, to be held at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home in Batavia, New York, on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. James's family invites all those who knew him to join in remembering and honoring a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions be made in James's memory to Genesee Cancer Assistance Inc., 127 North St., Batavia, NY 14020.
Arrangements have been entrusted to H.E. Turner & Co., Inc., located at 403 E. Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020. James will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
