Ida Belle "Punkin" Williams, a beloved resident of Batavia was born on November 25, 1956 and passed away peacefully at Crossroads House on December 7, 2025 at the age of 69.
Ida is survived by her children, Alton (Pam Pontillo) Williams and Shuvon (Dan Cacter) Williams. Her siblings, Alton Bethel, Joanne Jones, Robert (Cynthia) Thurston, Edwin Bethel and Sonja Armstrong along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ida's proudest accomplishment is her great-granddaughter, Jay'Dah whom she raised to be a beautiful young woman now attending a university in Pennsylvania.
She is predeceased by her grandmother and namesake, Ida Belle Williams, her mother Gwendolyn Maloney and her sister Vivian Bethel-Parris.
Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 15, 2025 at the Prayer Room COGIC, 39 Lyon Street, Batavia. A celebration of life will take place in the Summer of 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads House, P.O. Box 403, Batavia, New York 14021.
Ida's legacy of love for all, helping others, her music and a party will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
