Henry Robinson

Listen to Obituary

Henry (Hank) Robinson (95) of East Bethany, NY, born to Henry L. and Sara F. Robinson on December 26, 1930, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026. His wish to remain in his home was made possible by the loving care of his family, his doctor, and home care hospice.

Hank is survived by his wife, Lila (Marble) Robinson, his best friend, and true love of 75 years. He was a wonderful father of four children: Marti (Paul) Smyton of Sun City, AZ, Rhonda Kingsland (Mark Plucinski) of Virginia Beach, VA, Traci (Steve) Wells of East Bethany, NY, and the late Bryan Charles Robinson (1961-1968). He was "Grandpa Hank" to 6 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many friends, and neighbors. To his nieces and nephews, he will be remembered as "Uncle Jr."

Hank was talented, knowledgeable, and hard-working, having a full and successful career. Among his many jobs, he served in the National Guard for 8 years. Whether truck driving, working at the Retsof Salt mine, on the Mount Morris Dam, the locks of the St. Lawrence Seaway, or up and down the east coast as an engineer for Angelica Health Care, Lila was by his side. Hank could fix or repair almost anything, built four homes, and remodeled another in his off time. Enjoying hobbies such as fishing, working in the garden, doing projects, and helping others, he served as a mentor to many. An avid card player and coffee drinker, he loved to travel with friends and family. His face lit up with company, especially the little ones. Of all his interests and talents, he was best at being a husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His love, legacy, and knowledge will live on forever, and he will be deeply missed by all.

Per Hank's request, there will be no service. He and Lila wish to be laid together to rest in Hillside Cemetery in East Pembroke, NY at the feet of their beloved son Bryan.
