Grace (Brew) Boyer

Grace was born November 27, 1925 to William and Mary Brew of Bergen NY. She passed away after a long illness on July 22, 2026 in Medina NY.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Richard E. Boyer; siblings William Brew, Mamie Brew Cebula, Robert Brew, Margaret Brew Wright, Arthur Brew, Edwin Brew, Dorothy Brew Roggow, Herbert Brew.

She is survived by a sister, Martha Brew Ernst; children James Boyer (Roxanne), Susan Boyer Reid (Richard), Mary Boyer Watkins (Mark); grandchildren Conor, Miles, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Rebecca, William and Scott; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Grace graduated from Bergen High School in 1943. She joined the Nurse Cadet Corp during WWII and trained at RGH School of Nursing, graduating in 1947. She enjoyed working as a nurse, especially challenging positions in Emergency and Operating Room Nursing.

Grace spent the last 5 years as a resident of North Wing at Medina Memorial Hospital in Medina NY. She would often sit up at the nurses' station enjoying the busy unit and feeling as if she was part of the team.

There are no prior visiting hours. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Mt. Rest Cemetery, 80 South Lake St, Bergen. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Grace's name may be made to the "North Wing" at Medina Memorial Hospital, 200 Ohio St, Medina NY 14103.
