Donald Patrick Russell

Donald Patrick Russell of Bergen, age 90, passed away on May 15, 2025 at his home in Bergen, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 1, 1935 in Malone, New York, a son of the late Harry and Helen (Shova) Russell.

Don was the owner of Better Living Homes, selling modular homes. As an outgoing man, Donald was a member of the Bergen Rod and Gun Club and American Legion, Post 575.He always enjoyed playing cards, cocktails, and cigars with friends, shooting trap, fishing, and golfing. Don was honorably discharged after serving 2 years in the United States Marine Corps.

Survivors include his children, Jeff Russell (Brad Miller), Tim Russell, Mike (Wendy) Russell, and Mary (Late Ronald) Schramm; grandchildren, Ronald Schramm Jr. (Cathy Lawrence), Paige Russell, Stacey (Alex) Ernest, Shannon (Dan) Dutton; Shelby (Jared) Wilcox, Becca (Haley) Ritchie, and Sarah (Ryan) Anae; great grandchildren, Ethan Schramm, Logan Schramm, Dax Dutton, Charlotte Dutton, Wesley Wilcox, Reese Wilcox, Kai Anae, Koa Anae, and Elliot Ritchie; siblings, Neil Russell, George (Late Maryann) Russell, Bruce (Claire) Russell, Gary (Lonnie) Russell, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins

In death Donald is reunited with his wife, Dorothy “Jean” Russell; siblings, Nancy (Bob) Wilson and Catherine (Bill) Mallett.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.E. Turner & Co., Inc. Funeral Home. Don and Jean will be laid to rest together on June 7, 2025 at 11:00am in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Bergen. The family wishes to invite everyone to a Celebration of Life, 25 Clinton Street, Bergen, New York immediately following the interment.
