Diane J. (Rowcliffe) Moore, 74, of Albion, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday (December 5, 2025) at United Memorial Medical Center after a 4 year courageous battle with small cell lung cancer.
She was born on March 13, 1951 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Howard and Elsie Rowcliffe.
Diane was known for her great golf swing, trips to the casino, her great smile and laugh and over all her love for her family and friends. Right up until the end, Diane was making sure everyone was taken care of. She fought one of the hardest battles of her life for 4 years and through it all, she never let it bring her down. She won the hearts of all her doctors and staff. She was employed by the NYSDOCS up until her retirement. She enjoyed camping, trips to Alabama to see her “sisters”, monthly lunches with her lunch crew, vacations with her family, golfing, the casino, her grandchildren and family time. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents Howard and Elsie Rowcliffe and her nephew Jason Rowcliffe.
Survivors include her daughters Lindsay Frasier (Dale) of Kent, Jennifer Cardinali (Tim) of Oakfield; grandchildren, Jackson and Layne Frasier, Michael (Aprile) Pfendler, Abby (Daniel) Russell, Great Grandson Jason Pfendler and another great grandson due in April; her sister, Donna (Greg) Hillabush of Elba, brothers Jeff (Kim) Rowcliffe of Elba, Scott (Ann Kohler) Rowcliffe of Batavia, and Dennis (Linda Ellis) Rowcliffe of Rochester. Special sisters Susan Ward, Marilyn Hyde, Carolyn Hyde, and Nadine Bussiere; an aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved dog Sunny.
At Diane's request, there are no funeral services. Please come and celebrate her life the way she would want on January 10, 2026 at the Elba Recreation Hall. 7143 Oak Orchard Rd Elba, NY 14058 from 1 pm to 5 pm. Diane's family is providing food and drinks. Donations in her memory may be made to rom 1-5. We will provide food and drinks.
