Batavia - Deborah A. Rast 64 of Aurora, Indiana formerly of Batavia, New York passed away in the loving presence of her family on Wednesday (July 15, 2026) at her home.

Deborah was born August 26,1961 in Buffalo, New York. A daughter of Thomas and Mary Anne (Wrazen) Sekuterski.

Deb graduated from Depew high school in 1979. Then met the love of her life in 1982 while working at a local flower shop that Russ was remodeling. They wed on July 29, 1983. Within four years of marriage together they were raising their 4 children.

Throughout the years she went from a homemaker and floral designer and then worked her way to an office manager at a construction firm where she retired from in 2024. Debs love of purple, was one of her greatest attributes with crafting and floral designs. She loved to make and design cakes for family and friends.

Deb loved to lend a hand or ear to anyone that crossed her path to assist in their life's journey. she loved camping with family and friends, riding on the back of the motorcycle with Russ and traveling. She cherished her time with all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and bonus grandchildren. She will be forever missed.

Surviving along with her parents are her husband Russell Rast of Aurora, Indiana; children Craig (Amanda) Lawrence of West Valley, Crystal (CJ) Case of Dillsboro, Indiana, Ryan (Amy Stevens) Rast of LeRoy, Kyle (Emily Kingdollar) Rast of LeRoy; Sister-in-law Cheryl Sekuterski of Buffalo; nephews Derrick (Gabby Torre) Sekuterski and Dylan Sekuterski. Sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.

Deborah is reunited in death with her brother Kevin Sekuterski.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday (July 24,2026) from 2 to 5 p.m. at H.E.Turner & Co., Inc. Funeral Home 403 East Main Street, in Batavia. Deb's funeral service will immediately follow visitatin at 5 pm at the funeral home. A celebration of Deb's life will follow at Game of Throws at City Centre in Batavia. Please dress casual. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family, in care of Russ Rast and may be mailed to the funeral home. Memorials recieved will be forwarded to the Dearborn Cancer Center where Deb was recieveing treatment. Please share a story, light a candle, or leave a condolence at www.bataviafuneralhomes.com
