David G. Williams, of Oakfield, NY, born on October 26, 1942, in Carthage, New York, passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. David's journey through life was one marked by warmth, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to his family and friends.
David was the beloved son of the late Walter and Amber Williams and was predeceased by his cherished siblings, Walter, John, Francis, and Melody.
On October 17, 1964, David married the love of his life, Patricia Pursel, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey of 61 years to include their five children: Francis Williams, Tracy (Barbara) Williams, and Christopher Williams of Pennsylvania; Becky (Jim) Borkholder and Michael (Holly Mason) Williams of Alabama, NY. David's heart swelled with pride for his grandchildren, Kyle (Madeline) Martinez, Connor Williams, Samantha (Ben) Duboy, Brian (Dianne) Borkholder, Jeremy Williams, Sarah, and Lauren Williams, as well as his great-grandchildren, Jackson, Hazel, Sophia, and John David.
David enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring from Rochester Acoustical Corp. in 1998. As a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan, David's excitement on game days was contagious. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as playing poker with his family, the aroma of fresh-baked apple pies and cookies, and the thrill of a good game of bingo. Christmas was a particularly special time for David, as he transformed his home into a winter wonderland, delighting in the joy it brought to those he loved.
He is survived by his siblings, Joan (late Carl) Cone, Wilbur (late Sandy) Williams, Al (Sheila) Williams, and Ralph Williams.
A Buffalo Bills themed celebration of David's life will be held on August 15, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Alabama Fire Dept. Rec. Hall, located at 2230 Judge Road, Oakfield, NY 14125.
