Daniel Peter Trendel

Batavia - Daniel Peter Trendel, 82, of Batavia, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at United Memorial Medical Center.

He was born on August 20, 1943 in Batavia, son of the late Walter Trendel, Sr. and Eileen Murtaugh Trendel.

Dan proudly served his country from 1961-1963 in the United States Army and worked at the New York State School for the Blind for many years.

He is predeceased by his wife, Nancy Colombo Trendel; step-son, Jim Elmore; brothers, Tom and Walter, Jr.; sisters, Dolores and Shirley and nephew, William Yates.

Surviving are his step-children, Joe Elmore and Lisa Bond; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces, Charmaine Yates and Marie Yates.

Friends may call on Friday from 12 pm to 2 pm at Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. Graveside service, with military honors will immediately follow visitation at Grandview Cemetery at 2:15 pm.
