Carolyn Kessler

Listen to Obituary

Carolyn Kessler, 79, of Alexander, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2026, at her home.

She was born on April 20, 1947, in Batavia, a daughter of the late Edward and late Sophie (Wiktorski) Tydelski.

Carolyn found great joy in gardening and music, especially sharing her beautiful voice as the lead singer for bands such as Ghost Riders and Buffalo Road Show. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and she was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord deeply. Above all else, Carolyn cherished her family. They were her greatest blessing and the source of her deepest happiness, and the love she shared with them will remain in their hearts forever.

She is survived by her children Kristian (Sandra) Kessler and Katy (Jeffrey) Carloni; grandchildren, Tyler (Kaeleigh) Kessler, Bronsen Kessler, and Brayden Kessler; great grandchild, Theodore Kessler; brother, Greg (Cathie) Tydelski and half sister, Patti Toal. Carolyn is reunited in heaven with her husband, James (Baby Huey) Kessler and brother Paul Tydelski.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 E. Main Street, Batavia. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carolyn's memory to: Homecare and Hospice, 29 Liberty St., Suite 6, Batavia, NY 14020 or The Patricia Allen Fund, https://www.ochbuffalo.org/foundation/patricia-allen-fund/
