Bonnie Starkweather, 84, of Basom, passed away on April 4, 2026, at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
She was born May 29, 1941, to the late Allison and Anna Marie (Phillips) Lewis. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, David Starkweather, and daughter, Pam Harla.
Bonnie was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Oakfield Ladies Auxiliary, and Board of Elections. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and baking, but above all cherished time spent with her family. She lovingly cared for her grandchildren, proudly running what she fondly called "Grandma B's Camp," where she created countless special memories filled with love and laughter.
Surviving are her daughter, Alison (Todd) Thompson of Oakfield, and son, Scott (Kenneth Hampton) Starkweather of Florida; son in law, Gregory Harla of Depew; grandchildren, Gillian Harla, Emma Harla, Kasey (Jerrod Smigelski) Thompson, Leah (Casey) Arnold, and Bryce Thompson; great grandchildren, Kori, Kinzi, and Ellie; sisters, Joyce (Donald) Yunker of Oakfield and Cindy (Gary) Beechler of Indiana; brother and sister in laws, Gladys (Late Allen) Phillips, Ronald (Lois) Starkweather, Lyle (Bette) Starkweather, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. Bonnie's funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 31 Washington Ave, Batavia. Bonnie will be laid to rest next to her husband in Reed Cemetery following her funeral service.
