Clarendon - Bonnie Lou (Boyce) Evans passed away February 24 surrounded by family members after a long illness.

She was born July 10, 1946, Binghamton, daughter of the late Newton Boyce and Elizabeth Ann Marvin Boyce.

She is survived by her husband, Richard H. Evans; her children, William B. Ash of Syracuse, and Kristin E, Eddy of Clarendon; her grandson, Jason W. Ash; sisters, Patricia A. Heisler of McDonough and Amy S. Boyce of Endwell and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her brother Eric N. Boyce.

She is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Elba and former member of the Columbia Presbyterian Church of LaFayette. She enjoyed Bible study, reading, quilting, cross-stitch, gardening, bird watching and spending time in the Adirondacks and with family.

Bonnie previously resided in Greene, NY, Syracuse, NY and LaFayette, NY. She graduated from Greene Central School and from Alfred State Technical College. She retired from Crouse Hospital in Syracuse where she worked in cardiac services. Bonnie was the first female firefighter in the LaFayette Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of their fire police. She also was a den leader and pack leader of Pack 100 LaFayette,N.Y.

There are no prior visiting hours. Memorial service will be held 1PM on Saturday April 18 at the First Presbyterian Church of Elba, 23 North Main Street, Elba.
