It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of Bernice Ann Couillard of Batavia, New York. Bernice had a compassion for everyone in life. She had a special gift when it came to children. Bernice and her late husband (Richard Couillard) were foster parents and cared for 64 children in a 16 year span. Bernice was all about her family, friends and her cat (Patches). Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving. She had such a passion for cooking (Oh the million cookbooks and recipes she had lol).
She is survived by her sister: Donna Macdonald; 3 daughters: Paula Ann (Jeffrey) Logsdon of Florida, Debbie (Ryan) Crossett and Lynne (Mark) Blance, both of New York; 6 grandchildren and their spouses: Gregory Appleton, Timothy Logsdon, Amanda Logsdon, Carrissa and Amanda Novitske, Nicole and Micah Brill and Noah Couillard, 9 great grandchildren: Serenity Logsdon, Harmony Grigsby, Phynn and Everly Appleton, Isaiah and Elias Novitske, Jordan and Leo Brill and Salem Couillard.1 great great grandchild Malakai James Logsdon.
She is predeceased by her parents, James and Pauline Trick Sprague and her brother, Kenneth Sprague.
As Bernice requested there will be no public service. She will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery, Batavia.
