Bernard Eugene Pangrazio Sr., 85, passed away on July 11, 2026, at Gateway Home, Attica.
Bernard was born August 23, 1940, in Batavia, New York, the son of the Late Laverne Sr. and Anita (Stewart) Pangrazio. He married the love of his life, Joan Galliford, on April 19, 1958.
Bernard found great satisfaction in farming, construction, scrapping, and operating his heavy equipment. A hardworking man who was happiest staying busy, working for 30+ years at Keeler Constructions, Albion, driving dump trucks, he took pride in every project he undertook. Above all else, Bernard cherished his family. They were the center of his life, and his greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joan Pangrazio; children, Cheryl Lynn (L. Larry) Richenberg, Robin Lee (John) Volk, Bernard "Bernie" (Carol) Pangrazio Jr., and Scott "Scooter" (Gail) Pangrazio; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Marg) Pangrazio, John (L. Patricia) Pangrazio, Larry (Chris) Pangrazio, Gary (Sandy) Pangrazio, Keith (Brenda) Pangrazio, and Alvin (Nancy) Pangrazio; sisters, Charlene (L. Jim) Worthington and June Boldt; many nieces and nephews.
Bernard's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
In death Bernard will be reunited with his parents, Laverne Sr. and Anita Pangrazio; siblings, Beverly (Tom) Brown, Laverne Pangrazio Jr.; Calvin Pangrazio, and Terry Pangrazio.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. E. Turner & Co., Inc., 403 E. Main Street, Batavia. Bernard's Celebration of Life will be held on August 23, 2026, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Elba Rec. Hall, Route 98, Elba, New York.
