Bernadine Mae Ginter

Bernadine M. Ginter of Jacksonville, Florida, was called to her eternal home on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the age of 90 at Haven Center, Orange Park, Florida.

Born to Oscar and Cora Mae Hinkel on December 14, 1934 in Wadena, Iowa.

She was preceded in death and has joined her beloved husband of 67 years Rev. Ronald A Ginter (2022) in eternal rest and life in Christ Jesus.

Bernie loved her family very deeply and kept them always in her thoughts and prayers. She faithfully worshiped God and was a true prayer warrior for all who were in need of prayers. She taught Sunday School, led Bible Studies and was a compassionate and supportive Pastor’s wife in many congregations for over 50 years. While living in Batavia she was employed at Oliver's Candies. After years of busy retirement in Rochester she and her husband relocated to Fort Myers, Florida. They later moved to Jacksonville to be near family. She was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, and loved the Buffalo Bills!

She is survived by her loving family who will miss her encouraging words of care and faith. Daughter Linda (Lynn) Eick, Batavia, NY. Sons: the late Mark Ginter, FL, Stephen (Tonya) Ginter, N.C. William Ginter, FL. Grandchildren; Matthew (Katie) Eick, Jen (Mathew) Mondo, Daniel Eick, and David (Kayla) Eick; Christa (Tyler) Evans, Mariah (Matt) Horton; Arriel Campbell, Chad Ginter; Joshua Terrell, Alicia Terrell; Great-Grandchildren, Edward, Maggie; Theodore, Landon; Noelle; Grayson, Dawson; Reese, Arthur; Jordan, Jayden, Destiny; Caleb and Dillon; Great-great-granddaughter, Araya. She is survived by her sister, Betty (Robert) Pries.

Bernie was preceded in death by Brothers Donald, Russell, William, Richard, Delmar, John, Robert, and sisters Ona Buck and Alo Church.

There are no prior calling hours. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 1 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 31 Washington Avenue, Batavia, N.Y. 14020. She will be laid to rest in Stafford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 31 Washington Ave. Batavia, NY 14020.
