Barbara R. Manes

Barbara Ruth Manes passed away peacefully on May 28th 2026 on her 85th birthday.

She was a loving mother to Debbie, Glenn (Lisa), Chris (Candy), and Timothy (Molly), devoted wife to James, and adoring grandmother to Brittany, Chris, Julianna, Stormi and Owen. Her greatest joys were her 9 great-grandchildren Peyton, Aliyah, and Camilla (Chris and Zaneta Manes) Shea (Britt and Sean Montford) Jaxon, Maxwell, Olivia and Nash (Julianna and Rich McCullough) and Vyolet (Stormi Manes and Cyle Howard).

Barb was creative and curious. She enjoyed traveling - especially to visit family and friends. Photography and genealogy were two of her passions and she loved her family above all. She made beautiful cakes and blankets, if you were expecting a baby, a blanket was certain to be crafted for your new little one. When the baby arrived, Barb was likely the first to make them laugh. She loved supporting her grandchildren's endeavors, whether it was cheering from the bleachers at sporting events to applauding musical or stage performances and each accomplishment and milestone.

Barbara will be laid to rest beside her husband, Jim, and daughter, Debbie, in Cary Cemetery. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later date. There are no prior calling hours.
