Batavia - Barbara N. Corcoran, 97 of Batavia, passed away on Thursday (September 17, 2026) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.

Mrs. Corcoran was born August 19, 1929 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Victor and Dora (Dauman) Noon.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Barbara's greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed traveling especially if it involved visits with family. She spread kindness wherever she went and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Although she will be missed by many she was ready to rejoin her loved ones in Heaven.

Surviving are her children, John F. (Nancy) Corcoran, III, of Sheldon, Iowa, Daniel (Mary Kay) Corcoran of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Patricia Murray of Dallas, Georgia, and Kathleen "Kitty" (Max) Maerten of Basom; grandchildren, L. Sean (Michelle) Corcoran, C. Ryan (Shelley) Corcoran, D. Erin Corcoran, Donald (Jenel) Maerten, Robert (Kimberly) Maerten, Todd (Kate) Murray, and Tricia (Esi) Hatami; sister, Eleanor (late Thomas) Conolly of Florida. 17 great-grandchildren also survive.

Along with her parents, Barbara is reunited in death with her husband, John F. Corcoran, Jr.; and grandson, Timothy Murray.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday (October 5, 2026) from 7 to 9:00 p.m. at Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street in Batavia (please use School Street entrance). Barbara's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday (October 6, 2026) at 9:30 a.m. from St. Padre Pio Church, 56 Maple Avenue in Oakfield. Burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Down Syndrome Parent Support Group of Genesee County, Inc.
