Adam Douglas Monroe was born to Douglas F. and Patricia Berryman Monroe in Batavia.
He attended Alexander Central School and didn't graduate because of health issues.
Adam was a happy, cheerful soul that always had a smile on his face. He was a charter member of the reorganized Glenn S. Loomis American Legion Post No. 332 and an organizing charter member of the Niagara Frontier Charter The Society of the Second War with Great Britain in the State of New York-The General Society of the War of 1812.
He is survived by his siblings; Gary F. Monroe of White Plains, Anne K.M. Allen of Hillsborough, North Carolina, Elijah B.A. Monroe of Attica who is a school bus driver for C+F Transportation and Andrew G. Monroe of Adolphus, Kentucky; three aunts; Jean S. Monroe, JoAnn Monroe and Mrs. Larry Casper, all of Batavia and many cousins and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brother, Douglas W. Monroe of Houston, Texas.
There are no prior calling hours. He will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery, Darien. Public funeral services will be announced for a later date. Please consider memorials in Adam's name to the American Diabetes Association, 4955 North Bailey Ave #217, Amherst, New York 14226.
