Mr. Walter L. Sterling Jr., 61, of Batavia, died Friday (June 22, 2012) at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.
Mr. Sterling was born September 18, 1950 in Danbury, CT, the son of Ruth (Brown) Sterling of Norwalk, CT and late Walter Sterling Sr.
Mr. Sterling was an official for the Genesee County Fair and also enjoyed attending gun shows. He was a highway inspector for New York State.
Surviving along with his mother are two sisters, Grace Gardiner of New Milford, CT and Merrie White of North Carolina; his significant other, Gretchen Franke of Batavia and several nieces and nephews.
There are no prior calling hours and services will be at the convenience of the family.
