Mr. Steve Miles Jr., 59, of Batavia, who worked in the maintenance department at the Batavia Nursing Home, died Thursday (September 12, 2013) at Crossroads House in Batavia. Mr. Miles was born November 10, 1953 in Albion, a son of Dorothy (Brown) Miles of LeRoy and the late Steve Miles Sr. Surviving along with his mother are a brother, Peter Miles of Buffalo; eight sisters, Geraldine Smith of Albion, Mattie Miles of Rochester, Annie Miles of LeRoy, Loretta Miles of Rochester, Katherine (Willie) Shannon of Caledonia, Gladys Miles of Rochester, Margaret Miles of LeRoy and Dorothy Ann Miles of Rochester. A host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive. He is a brother of the late Charles Miles and Michael Brown. Calling hours are Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia. Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Stafford Rural Cemetery, Stafford.
