Sandra L. Mortellaro

Sandra L. Mortellaro, 77, of Corfu, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester. Sandra was born April 5, 1941 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Bill and Virginia (Johnson) Tiede. Sandra was a member of the First Baptist Church of Batavia for over 40 years and sang in the church choir. She was a teacher at the Pembroke Central School District, a member of the New York State Teachers Association, sang in the Genesee Chorale and enjoyed bowling and crossword puzzles. She will be remembered as a cat lover. Survivors include her husband, Joe Mortellaro of Corfu; a brother, Gerald (Ann) Tiede of Indian Falls; one sister, Charlene (Gerald Ridley) Tiede of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Sandra is a sister of the late Brian Tiede. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Batavia, 306 East Main Street, Batavia. Sandra will be laid to rest in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Corfu.
