Batavia – Sally I. Harloff entered eternal Life on Wednesday (May 18, 2022) at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Avon, Ohio. Her saving faith in Jesus began in her childhood home on Franklin Street and the United Methodist Church in Batavia. Sally was born September 30, 1946 in Batavia, daughter of the late Morse and Nancy (Roebuck) Stringham. She inherited the Roebuck family love from her loving mother Nancy and passed this love to her children. Sally played field hockey in high school and excelled in art. She graduated from Batavia High School in 1965. Sally loved horses, swimming, and flowers. She led and mentored many young girls in Camp Fire and Girl Scouts in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio; and was honored as Mrs. Scouting for several years in North Olmsted, Ohio. Sally married December 25, 1965 and lived in Austin, Texas, Seattle, Washington, West Palm Beach and Gainesville, Florida, Irving, Texas, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and North Olmsted, Ohio while her husband prepared for and worked in defense and energy fields and NASA. She was president of Harloff Capital Management in North Olmsted, Ohio for 28 years. We will always remember Sally for her endless compassion, unwavering fierce love and support of her family, beautiful caring nurturing spirit, always able to adjust and adapt, and stay on the positive side in everything. She will be in our hearts forever and will be deeply missed. Sally is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Dr. Gary J. Harloff, PhD; four loving daughters, June Ann (Will), Eve (Rob), Susan (Matt), and Nancy; and four beloved grandchildren, Alexandra (Aaron), Jessica, Victoria, and Grant. She is also survived by brothers, Roy (Diane) and Richard (Barbara); sisters-in-law, Nancy and Shari; half-sister, Ann; and predeceased by her sister Lamar (Ken); and brothers, Ray and Alan. There are no prior calling hours. Her graveside service will be at Grand View Cemetery, Clinton Street Road, in Batavia on Thursday (May 26, 2022) at 1:00 PM.
