Obituary of Raymond M. Follett




ATTICA - Raymond M. Follett, 66, of Attica, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at United Memorial Medical Center.



Raymond was born August 19, 1952, in Batavia, the son of the late Raymond M. and Jean (Wojtacha) Follett.



He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from SUNY Brockport and was an Instructor's Assistant at the NYS School for the Blind in Batavia, prior to retiring in 2016.  Raymond was a 3rd Degree Knight with Council 2240, Wyoming County Knights of Columbus at St. Joachim and Anne Church where he was an active participant in the clothing drive.  He was a member of the NYS Teacher’s Association, was an avid Yankees fan, enjoyed hockey, gardening and was at home in the out of doors.





He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Darlene (Cupicha) Follett of Attica, whom he married on October 19, 1985; a daughter, Sara Jean (David) Pollock of Batavia; a son, Daniel (Brooke) Follett of Batavia; a sister, Kathleen Follett of Glenden Beach OR; and  a beloved niece, Maura Cupicha of Wyoming.


Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St. in Batavia. Raymond's Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at  Resurrection Parish's - St. Joseph's Church, 303 E. Main St., Batavia with Fr. Ivan Trujilio officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Raymond's memory may be made to Notre Dame High School, 73 Union St., Batavia, NY 14020 or to Attica Fire Department, 11 Water St., Attica, NY 14011.
