Batavia - Percy L Hale, 79, of Batavia, passed away Sunday, (December 1, 2013) at Genesee County Nursing Home, in Batavia.
Mr. Hale was born December 6, 1933 in Alabama, the son of the late Avis Hale.
Percy served his country honorably with the Army and was an avid racing fan and was involved with Mike Scroger's Prentice Auto Parts racing team for a time. He greatly enjoyed NASCAR. He was also an avid hunter.
He is the husband of Joy (Biddlecombe) Hale of Batavia.
Surviving along with his wife are his daughter, Pamela (Timothy) Fletcher of VA; step-daughters, Tammy Barry-Jacobs of Livonia, and Christine (Herman) Martinez of NM. 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren also survive.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hale family. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery, Oakfield.
